Ghost Plant (Graptopetalum paraguayense, Mother of Pearl Plant) is our absolute, hands down, favorite succulent. This gal is so easy to grow and looks elegant on a window seal, in a hanging basket or outside on your porch or in your garden (depending where you live).  It is one of the most widely cultivated succulents and has been popular for over a 100 years. Why? Because it is that awesome!  Ghost plant’s rosettes have a wide range of pastel tones and blushes pink, purple, and yellow in full sun. In the shad, the tones are more blue, green, and silver in partial shade. It’s powdery coating (farina) causes the leaves to have almost a pearl like appearance.

Each tight rosette of flat, pointed leaves can reach up to 6.0″ in diameter and the stems grow long if you let them, spilling out of their containers for a wonderous display. This is one of the easiest succulents to start with if you are beginner and very easy to propagate from both stem and leaf cuttings.
